I love grounding after a post run endorphin release … the feel of the earth spinning below me, the charge of the ground re-energizing my muscles after work, and the fresh air on my skin. This is good stuff! 🌎
I have been at a work function all weekend. It has meant a lot of sitting still and socializing, which are not on my list of favorite things to do. I struggle with being at ease in large groups, find it harder to breathe within the confines of heavily populated buildings, and I feel awkward in big cities. However, once I’m talking one on one with others who share similar views, passions, and ethics, then I can feel myself relax a little. I have been out of an academic setting for over a decade, but conferences are back in full swing now that COVID
has quieted down, which means live events have put me back in the room with other like minded colleagues of mine.
I’ve found that it is inspiring to be around other intelligent people who have dedicated their life to the study of xyz (name your topic). I love to observe and study habits and routines of some of the most successful people who surround me. I’ve come to the conclusion that they are go-getters, they dive into questions seeking a greater knowledge and understanding, they push back when people say something can’t be done, and they strive to find these solutions with the end goal of helping others … other people, other creatures, other cultures, pubic health, the environment, and the earth. They run… not in the physical sense… but figuratively, at life, into their dreams, into challenges, and press down the path of self fulfillment, personal gain, and progress forward.
Some self reflection has made me realize I’ve always been a runner in a sense. Running from here to there, always filling my time with duties and responsibilities, working to be the best I can be at each endeavor I choose to invest with my time. It wasn’t until about 4 months ago, but I have started literally running too. I find that instead of making me run out of breath, running gives me time to focus only on breathing. The full expansion of my lungs, the feeling of engaged muscles, and the reward of an endorphin release after each run earns me a physical form of success different from the more traditionally defined form described above. The mix of the two, traditional and physical success, now appeals to me as a powerful combination that I’m ready to run down next.
The plank challenge isn’t over, but I have committed to my next personal training goal for Spring of 2024! When I get quiet I have not gone… I have just been working behind the scenes on the next big thing. Gotta run, let’s go! 🏃♀️

When I’m not working, I make a valid effort to take what time I do have off to make it count! For all of O’s fans you should know he was a rock star as usual this past weekend. He carried me around my courses and did his job beautifully. May we all find (more) time for whatever it is that allows us catch our breath in the midst of life. Breathing in deep today as I reflect on how much I love this horse. 🖤🐎🤎 Good boy, O!

There’s a myth that when your horse gets tangles in their mane it’s because fairies visited in the night. The knots result during the escapade and are the only evidence left by the fairies. Sometimes fairies of the night visit my farm too 😍

The gift of having a horse trust a rider to effortlessly do what is asked, without question and full cooperation is the essence of a true partnership. Every now and then a rider is able to join a horse with a unique, unexplainable bond of complete unison, the rider atop a body so strong and powerful it feels fictitious.
I am eternally grateful for the obedience and love this horse gives me in exchange for the life I have been granted to share with him. He gives me proof that I have done some good in my life to earn a spot next to him.
For a horse who needs no added strength what a noble and generous gesture it is to have them allow any human to fly in the wind upon their back, to prance around an arena under the direction of subtle cues, and then to greet their person happily once returned to the freedom of their home pasture. Good boy, O 💙🐎❤️

⭐️ Plank Challenge ⭐️ Week 7 ⭐️ 7 Minutes ⭐️
Another week has come and gone! This week’s challenge entailed a full 7 minute plank. Towards the end of the time I can definitely feel my body kindly asking me to stop and just collapse. As the time of the plank has increased it has certainly taken a little extra effort to maintain position, but it’s once you start digging in and working hard for something that you really begin to build something worth having. Good things don’t come easy … fit bodies included. 💪🏻

It’s easy to get distracted in life. To focus on things that shouldn’t be focused on or maybe that should have focus, but at a different, more appropriate time. A distraction could simply be described as a displacement of where active thoughts or activities belong. Sometimes I displace work with daydreams, cleaning with horseback rides, and invitations with friends to trips to the mountains to climb, but these distractions done too often and your job, your state of living, and your friendships may suffer. Other distractions can be less offensive and even welcomed.
Yesterday while I was packing I got a little distracted with some new Amazon deliveries and decided to quickly try on some new boots I have purchased for an upcoming Halloween shoot I’ll be doing. These pic resulted and maybe this distraction will be one of those more accepted types. 😏😍
I got caught looking at myself in the reflection of the patio door at the end in the bounce video … It looks like I was feeling pretty good about what I was seeing 🖤 and I thought the sparkly skeleton hands had a nice shimmer. 👻

One of the things I love about this place is that this page is my space. I can share whatever I wish could spread. The cool thing about a platform like this is that you never know who will see it. Maybe not many people, but maybe the person you’d like to see it will happen across it one day. Today I choose to quietly wish a Happy Birthday to someone who has influenced my life for the last couple decades. He has pushed me to work hard and never give up through his music, his stories, and his example of an unrelenting quest to overcome adversity making his life all that he wants it to be.
Today is his 51st birthday and I hope it’s the best one yet for him! Since it’s my space I don’t have to say his name, but those who know me well know who I’m talking about. Bonus points if you’re one of them 😘💜

“The pursuit IS happiness” is what my shirt says. Ever since I was a little girl I have been one to focus on goals, plans, and dreams; always working towards what I thought would make me happy. I’ve found that some of the things that I achieved didn’t keep me happy, despite some being significant, even considered prestigious to many. Recently I decided to take a step back, to re-evaluate how I want my life to look, how I want to spend my time, and what my time is worth. My pursuit will be to stop chasing titles, stop trying to prove myself to people, and to make whatever changes need to happen to live the shirt … for my pursuit (of life) to be happy. I’ve started taking steps that add value to my time, to my existence, to my short term happiness, and my long term joy.
If your pursuit isn’t happy, then maybe your pursuit wandered off in the wrong direction too. I’m not sure I have everything right, but I have set a new goal to pursue happy every chance I can. I’ve said it and I’m sharing it and I have set a goal to live it. Be sure you take time to bring your dream(s) to life…say it, share it, live it! 🙌🏻

Ever find yourself in the process of undressing, getting ready for bed and feeling like you want to be lazy when you should be doing your nightly run? Maybe it’s just me, but it also feels liberating to live on a farm where I can just head on outside in my undies to get that done without the need to get re-dressed. I googled to see what it said about the average time that a fit person should be able to hold a plank. I was surprised at what I found and it made me feel accomplished with how persistent I have been. 🙌🏻

Being a kind person requires persistence with deliberate thoughts and conscious actions. 😍
I have always said that I want to be admired and desired by those around me. To gain these opinions requires persistence in everything I do. 💜
I want you all to notice me persistently working to maintain my health, fitness, relationships, interpersonal skills, and leadership qualities. I want to persistently impress, motivate, encourage, and positively influence every being I am able to impact. I want to persistently endure when times are tough and remove myself from situations that are not supportive of my presence.
I hope from what I share I mirror how persistence through working out, a persistently positive mindset, and persistently making a cognitive effort to breathe and speak kindness, I find myself as a positive influence who makes lives within my circle better and more fulfilling. I want to expel a contagious energy that will push us to all be more persistent together.

💜 Mornings are one of my favorite times. The horses are always excited to see me for breakfast, they give me a beautiful reason to start my morning with a smile, and my chores get me warmed up for the day. Sometimes I get a little too comfortable with the privacy of my farm and this morning the feed truck 🛻 pulled in exactly during the time the last picture was snapped, 🤭whoops!! They aren’t usually that early! 🌞 It reminded me of when the FedEx guy showed up when I had on that bikini. I’m going to give myself a complex among delivery guys if I’m not more careful 😆
⭐️ Plank Challenge: Week 5, 5 Minutes ⭐️
Do the weeks feel like days when you have a deadline or something you want to have extra time to train or prepare for? Sometimes they do for me. 🤷🏼♀️
My life has become exponentially busier within the last few months, but in the best way, thanks to @onlyfans 😘 I am loving the extra fun, excitement, and enhancements to my life that this place has provided to date.
Have I mentioned my other goals lately, outside of the plank challenge, for why I’m here? I want you all to see me for a girl who pushes herself to be better physically, but also as a source of kindness and motivation to others. Motivation to build strength in your fitness and in your ability to share and exploit kindness, generosity, and love for the world we share. Admittedly my posts zone in on and portray the best things and parts of my life. In reality my life is just as complicated and messy as the next, but I try to make conscious daily efforts to be kind, strong, motivational, and to build myself in the areas that will lead to positive progression in my life and in the lives of all I contact. If everyone made conscious decisions to work on their attitude, outlook on life, and treatment towards others, people and animals, as much as they try to focus on and at least consider with regard to their fitness, then what a wonderful place to live we could all have.
Here’s to another week of the plank challenge and cheers to the underlying goal. Let’s keep building up each other and never lose sight of why we are here and what we aim to achieve. Go Team Shelly! 💜🥰 Let’s make our lives better for being here while we are here.

It’s Friday!! I’m sure I’m not the only dreamer here. Astro is already over 6 months old! The dreams I have with him fuel me with purpose wanting to help give him the foundation he needs to be the best he can be one day. Most colts are gelded around this age if they aren’t going to be used for breeding. Some horse shows and certain classes won’t even allow stallions in the ring so it makes sense for a lot of show horses to be “cut” or gelded when they are still small enough to recover quickly and with less incidence of complications. I’m not sure yet if he will be used for breeding, but he’s special enough and with nice enough lineage that I’m not taking away this opportunity for him just yet 💜
Dreaming about my horses isn’t the only kind of dreaming I’ve been doing. You all and this place keeps me smiling, brightens the sparkle in my eye, and makes me want to continue to be a positive, uplifting force of existence in all of your lives. I hope you all find something wonderful to dream about with me today 💜
Ever have one of those days that just won’t seem to end. You get a little behind and then you start working seemingly harder to catch up, but you just can’t. 😆 Once you finally find yourself able to wind down you just want a quiet little corner and a glass of wine… that pretty much sums up how my day went yesterday.
Pics are just me in my little corner…relaxing in my undies at the end of a long day. Taking some time to think about how to be in all my happy places more than the stressful ones. It felt like I lost yesterday to time doing things that weren’t what I wanted to be doing. It’s hard making changes and getting out of old routines, but none of us are getting less old so now has to be the time to try form new patterns. 💜
