This is a very powerful position to be edged. Usually during sex one partner is on top and the other on the bottom. In the Tantric Yab Yum position both are upright, facing each other. This position symbolizes union of wisdom and compassion.

In massage school the concept of draping the person you were working on was ceaselessly driven home. To intentionally cover a certain area of the body while the rest was exposed seemed like a form of body shaming; a propping up of the ignorant belief we’ve all been handed about certain parts of the body being dirty. It’s fun to turn the concept of draping on its head, along with the puritanical beliefs. Instead of using a drape to conceal, use it as a way to tease and create anticipation for the eventual reveal.
